Jake and the Never Land Pirates is a pre-school animated series based on the classic Disney Peter Pan franchise. The show revolves around Jake, Cubby and Izzy and their exploits trying to find buried treasure and avoid Captain Hook, Smee and Tick-Tock the crocodile.

We have worked with Fisher Price to design and develop a variety of playsets, vehicles and roleplay toys. The goal was to capture the personality of Jake and his friends and bring a little bit of Never Land to life. Jake’s lives on Pirate Island and a lot of the key play themes come from found objects and playful construction, taking things from the island setting and thinking about how Jake might turn them into something cool. Beyond the characters themselves, we really tried to focus on the little details, colour and texture helped to give the toys real depth.
